It is the photos that determine whether someone enters our profile and is interested in our work, if this happens, then we gain a chance to get a new client from the start! So we have almost a fraction of a second in which, after displaying our photo, we either get someone's attention or not.
So how to take pictures that will help build your SM?
The most important thing is lighting! Ideally, you should take photos in daylight, but we know that's not always possible. If you need to light a spot with artificial light, then by all means choose cold light! If you choose a warm color, it will turn the photo yellow and that doesn't look good. Personally, I use 100Watt OSRAM bulbs and illuminate my hand with 1 or 2 iconic Tetrial lamps.
The second equally important thing is the aesthetics of the styling. Social Media is our portfolio, so show in it pictures that are nice. What mistakes should you avoid? First of all, do not upload photos in which the nail plate / cuticles are drenched in olive oil. It looks just plain messy and is associated with greasy, oil-soaked fingers. In addition, olive oil on the cuticles creates the appearance of material that hasn't been fully removed, and that's not a good sign of your skills! What's more, avoid photos with injured cuticles! It's a known fact that, while it shouldn't happen to you, we've all had our fair share of customers with cuts. This is nothing to be proud of! So don't bother taking a picture of your hairstyle.
The third element of the photo is its background! Remember, that it should be interesting and matching the nail design, but also, that it is not supposed to dominate in the photo! It is important that you do not forget, that you are taking a picture of nail design, and the rest is just accessories, which, although they create a beautiful whole, are always just a background.
The next aspect of the photo is the positioning of the hands. Below is a sample model found on the Internet of the most favorable hand positions and those that are worth "letting go".
